Homeland Security

Due to Fairfield's proximity to New York City and many other potential terrorist targets found within the tri-state area, the officers of the Fairfield Police Department realize the importance of remaining vigilant in their efforts to identify those individuals who might be seeking to harm the United States of America. To this end, our officers conduct frequent checks of various locations within the Township such as the Essex County Airport, the hotels and schools found within the town, as well as the many government entities that also have locations in Fairfield, in order that we identify any potential threats or suspicious activities at the soonest possible moment.

Remember, if you see something, say something. Contact the Fairfield Police Department at (973) 227-1400 or your local F.B.I. Field Office to report any suspicious activity that might invole a threat to homeland security.
