POLICE BLOTTER-WEEK OF OCTOBER 14-20, 2013
Vehicle Theft- On October 14th, Officers Ian Rasmussen and Steven D'Argenio investigated the theft of a boat and trailer from Bloomfield Manufacturing, located at 101 Clinton Road. The boat is a white Yamaha jet boat with a red and silver stripe
Warrant Arrest- On October 14th, Officers John McGrory and Thomas Myers were dispatched to a report of a person who would not leave the premises of the Skyline Auto Auction, located at 100 Route 46, after being told to do so by security. The individual involved fled the area prior to police arrival, however, he was accompanied to the location by two other individuals. Investigation revealed that one of these individuals had active arrest warrants from the Jersey City, Weehawken and Union City Municipal Courts. Arrested was Madiline Stephens (28) of Jersey City, N.J.
Warrant Arrest- On October 14th, Officers Frank Tracey and Sean McCormack allegedly observed a vehicle with one headlight out, travelling on Passaic Avenue. The vehicle was stopped and investigation revealed that the driver had a suspended license and an active arrest warrant issued by the Roseland Municipal Court. Arrested was Elzbieta Girardo (47) of North Caldwell, N.J.
Assist Other Agency- On October 14th, Sgt. John McNish and Officer R,J. Casendino assisted the Nutley Police Department with serving a temporary restraining order within the Township
Harassment- On October 15th, Officer Thomas Myers investigated a report of harassment occurring at a Linda Place residence
Motor Vehicle Impound- On October 17th, Officer Brad Ahern impounded a vehicle on Route 46 West for being unregistered and operated by an unlicensed driver
Warrant Arrest- On October 17th, Officer Jeffrey Dean stopped a car on New Dutch Lane for having allegedly commiitted a motor vehicle violation. Investigation revealed that the driver had active arrest waraants issued by the Newark and Clifton Municipal Courts. Arrested was Richard Torres (19) of Newark, N.J.
Shoplifting Arrest- On October 18th, Officer Steven D'Argenio and other Fairfield officers arrested an individual for shoplifting and resisting arrest at Target, located at 632 Route 46 East (See press release for details)
DUI Arrest- On October 19th, Officer Raymond Puluse arrested an individual for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (See press release for details)
DUI Arrest- On October 19th, Officer Frank Tracey arrested an individual for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (See press release for details)
During this time period, the Fairfield Police Department responded to 15 requests for medical assistance and 7 motor vehicle crashes
