POLICE BLOTTER-WEEK OF JULY 7-13, 2014

Fraud- On July 7th, Officer David Chabay investigated a fraud involving a Horseneck Road resident. 

Simple Assault- On July 8th, Officer Raymond Puluse investigated a simple assault that took place at a Fairfield Road residence. No arrests were made

MV Impound- On July 8th, Officer Thomas Myers impounded a 2003 Honda on Fairfield Road for having a suspended registration and being uninsured

Harassment- On July 8th, Officer RJ Casendino responded to Retro Fitness, located on Kingsbridge Road, to investigate a complaint of harassment

Narcotics Arrest- On July 9th, Officer RJ Casendino arrested four individuals for various violations of the NJ Controlled Dangerous Substance Act (See press release for details)

Warrant Arrest- On July 9th, Officer Sean McCormack conductede a random license plate inquiry of a vehicle traveling on Route 46, which revealed the registered owner had a suspended license and an active arrest warrant issued by the Union City Municipal Court. The vehicle was stopped. Arrested was Danny Cirino (26) of Hoboken, N.J.

Criminal Mischief- On July 9th, Officer David Chabay responded to the LaQuinta hotel, located on Two Bridges Road, to investigate an incident of criminal mischief involving a television be broken in a guest room

Theft- On July 9th, Officer David Chabay responded to 1275 Bloomfield Avenue to investigate a theft from a motor vehicle. Unknown actor(s) stole items from an unlocked car

Natural Gas Leak- On July 9th, the Fairfield Police and Fire Departments responded to a natural gas leak at 55 Passaic Avenue. A costruction crew, that was doing some excavation work, ruptured a 3" gas main, causing the leak. Passaic Avenue had to be closed between Beverly Road and Greenbrook Road until the gas could be shut off by PSE&G

Warrant Arrest- On July 9th, Officer Christopher Nicholas and David Chabay were dispatched to the Fairfield Municipal Court, currently being held in North Caldwell, to a person causing a disturbance. The officers found the individual walking down Gould Avenue. Investigation revealed that the individual had active arrest warrants issued by the Paterson Municipal Court. Arrested was Lauren Barca (23) of Little Ferry, N.J.

Narcotics Arrest- On July 11th, Officer Steven D'Argenio arrested an individual for possession of marijuana and for being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance at the LaQuinta hotel, located at 38 Two Bridges Rd. (See press release for details)

Theft- On July 11th, Officer Thomas Myers investigated a theft from a motor vehicle that took place at the Fairfield Town Pool, located on Big Piece Road. Unknown actor(s) took handicapped placard.

DUI Arrest- On July 12th, Sgt. Christopher Morgan arrested an individual for driving while under the influence and for being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance on Route 46 West. (See press release for details)

Domestic Violence- On July 13th, Officer Raymond Puluse and other officers responded to a domestic dispute at the Hampton Inn, located on Route 46. One individual was arrested for simple assault
