Easter Altercation Leads to Aggravated Assault Arrest

Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Durim Adili (72) of Little Falls, N.J. for aggravated assault on April 16, 2017. On that date, at approximately 9:49 AM, all available police units were dispatched to a Little Falls Road residence on a report of a physical altercation occurring between a resident and a contractor.

When the police arrived, the individuals were already separated. Investigation revealed that Adili wanted the victim to pay for some of the construction work that was being done on the victim’s home in advance of it being completed. The victim declined at which time a physical altercation ensued. It was during this altercation that it is alleged that Adili began to choke the victim with his hands, leaving ligature marks on the victim’s throat that the officers’ noticed. Adili was placed under arrest. He was then transported to an area hospital with chest pains. The victim refused any medical attention. At the time of this release, Adili remained in the hospital under police guard.  

(It should be noted that the charge against Adili is merely an allegation and that he is presumed innocent until he either pleads guilty or vis found guilty in a court of law)
