Fairfield Officers go Unshaven for Movember Awareness

Fairfield (NJ) The well-groomed appearances that Fairfield police officers are required to maintain are being shed for no shave Movember. “This annual event has become extremely popular with many of our officers who, quite frankly, hate shaving every day. But more important is the public awareness that is raised to men’s health issues and to pancreatic cancer” said Chief Anthony G. Manna. In Fairfield, in order for an officer to go unshaven for the month, they first must contribute $25.00 which, at the end of the month, will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. “As soon as November ends, the public can again expect our officers to be clean shaven” said the chief.
