Man Arrested for Immigration Warrant

Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Ricardo Lemus-Hernandez (26) of Paterson, N.J.  Mr. Lemus-Hernandez was allegedly wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by the United States Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.). He was taken into custody on July 2, 2012 after Officer Jeffrey Didyk stopped the vehicle that he was operating for having allegedly committed a motor vehicle violation on Little Falls Road near the Target store. A computer check conducted by the officer lead to the discovery of the active warrant. Lemus-Hernandez was eventually turned over to I.C.E. agents.
