Female Arrested for Shoplifting over $800 in Merchandise
Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Sulenny Morel (23) of Paterson, N.J. for shoplifting on June 24, 2013 at the Target store, located on Route 46 East. At approximately 5:30 P.M., Officer Thomas Myers and other officers were dispatched to the Target store to assist security with an alleged shoplifter that was being detained. Investigation revealed that Morel allegedly concealed over $800.00 in merchandise in her handbag. When she attempted to leave the store, she was stopped by store security.
After being charged with one count of shoplifting, she was released from custody on her own recognizance. She was given an initial court appearance date of July 3, 2013 in the Superior Court in Newark, N.J. (It should be noted that the charges against Morel are merely allegations and that she is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law)
