Small Fire Occurs at Globe Motor Car Company

Fairfield (NJ) On September 12, 2013, at approximately 5:44 P.M., the Fairfield Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from employees at Globe Motor Car Company, located at 1230 Bloomfield Avenue, reporting a fire inside of their used car building. The Fairfield Fire Department was dispatched and found a small fire in the ladies restroom that apparently started in an exhaust fan. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire with minimal damage occurring in the facility.

The Fairfield Fire Department was assisted by the Verona, Pine Brook, West Cladwell and North Caldwell Fire Departments. In addition, Atlantic Ambulance EMS-7 also stood by to assist.
