West Caldwell Woman Arrested for Suspected Drunk Driving
Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Denise Piersanti (57) of West Caldwell, N.J. for driving while under the influence on October 19, 2013. On that date, at approximately12:09 A.M., Officer Raymond Puluse allegedly observed a 2006 Cadillac, operated by Piersanti, disregard a red traffic signal at the intersection of Fairfield Road and Hollywood Avenue. Further investigation, which included standard field sobriety testing, resulted in her arrest without incident. She was taken to police headquarters where breath testing was conducted.
In addition to the driving while under the influence she was also charged with driving while under the influence in a school zone, failure to observe a traffic control device and careless driving. She was released on her own recognizance with a pending court date of October 24, 2013 in the Fairfield Municipal Court. (It should be noted that the charges against her are merely allegations and that she is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law)
