Fairfield Woman Arrested for Aggravated Assault
Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Jessica Rosewall (27) of Fairfield, N.J. on December 21, 2013, for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon. On that date, at approximately 12:09 A.M., Officer Gerald Veneziano was on patrol on Hollywood Avenue when he came upon a 32-year-old male that was walking in the middle of the street. When the officer checked on his welfare, he observed his face to be swollen and bleeding.
The victim stated that he initially had an argument with Rosewall while the pair was sitting in her car in the parking lot of the St. Thomas More Church. The victim alleges that Rosewall then punched him in the face. The victim further alleges that he then got out of the car and stood in front of it, at which time, Rosewall allegedly drove forward. The victim then rolled over the hood of the car and struck his head on the pavement. The victim was later transported to Mountainside Hospital for treatment.
Officers Stacy Chiarolanza and Steven Ptaszynski then responded to Rosewall’s residence where she was arrested without incident. In addition to the criminal charges, Rosewall was also charged with reckless driving. She was later released on her own recognizance pending an initial court appearance date in the Superior Court in Newark, N.J. on January 9, 2014. (It should be noted that the charges against Rosewall are merely allegations and that she is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law)
