Cedar Grove Man Arrested for Shoplifting
Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Kurt Brechner (72) of Cedar Grove, N.J. for shoplifting. The incident that leads to the arrest took place at the Target store, located on Route 46, on February 27, 2012.
At approximately 12:42 P.M., officers from the Fairfield Police Department responded to assist Target security officers with an alleged shoplifter that they had in custody. Officer Brian Holzmann responded and arrested Brechner after security officers allegedly observed him taking food items.
Brechner was charged with shoplifting and released on his own recognizance. He was given a date of March 1, 2012 as his initial appearance at the Fairfield Municipal Court. (It should be noted that the cahrge against Brechner is merely an allegation and that he is innocent until proven guilty)
