The department has been a long time supporter of New Jersey Special Olympics through its participation in the Plane Pull held at Newark Liberty Airport, the Snow Bowl held at Met Life Stadium and in the Torch Run. As it relates to the Plane Pull, the Fairfield’s Finest team still holds the distinction of being the only team to capture first place in the total team fastest time, lightest weight and most funds raised for the event in the same year.
