Former Fairfield Special Police Officer Ronald Delli Santi Passes Away

Fairfield (NJ) It is with the heaviest of hearts and a profound sense of sadness that Chief Anthony G. Manna and the officers and staff of the Fairfield Police Department announce the passing of Fairfield resident and former Special Police Officer Ronald Delli Santi on December 7, 2025.

Special Officer Delli Santi served in the department from the mid-1980’s until the early1990’s. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.

“When I first came onto the department, I can vividly remember having Special Officer Delli Santi riding along with me. Back then, special police officers were not paid for their service but rather they served because they wanted to help their community and aid our fulltime officers” said Chief Anthony G. Manna. “I enjoyed those times with him very much and I thank him for his service to our community. We send our love, support and prayers to the entire Delli Santi family.” said the chief.

In honor of his service to our department and our community, beginning on Thursday December 11, 2025, flags at the police memorial will be lowered to half staff for seven days, memorial bunting will be on display and Fairfield officers will wear shrouded badges for thirty days.
