Fairfield (NJ) – On September 20, 2023 at approximately 11:19 pm, the Fairfield Police and Fairfield Fire Department responded to a working structure fire on Lane Road. Upon arrival, a detached garage was observed to be fully engulfed. The fire department was able to contain and extinguish the fire within thirty minutes. No injuries were reported and initial findings show that it does not appear to be suspicious. The Fairfield Fire Prevention Bureau is continuing to investigate to determine the cause.
“Our fire department did an extraordinary job containing this fire quickly to prevent it from spreading to any other structures,” said Officer Stacy Chiarolanza. “As volunteers, they go above and beyond to help keep Fairfield safe.”
