Honor guard
Formally established in July of 2001, the honor guard is the ceremonial unit of the Fairfield Police Department. The honor guard has appeared at a variety of different events to include presenting the colors at both a New York Giants and New York Jets game, laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington D.C., and representing the police department at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial also in Washington D.C. In addition the honor guard has appeared at many local events to include parades, Memorial Day services, September 11th Memorial services and several law enforcement funerals.
