Fairfield Detectives Investigate Commercial Burglary

Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department is actively investigating a commercial burglary and theft that took place at Digital World Shop, located at 1275 Bloomfield Avenue on December 14, 2025. On that date, at approximately 3:48 AM, Fairfield officers were dispatched to this location on a report of a burglary in progress. Apparently, the owner of the business was alerted by a Ring camera because of activity near the bay door to the business. The responding officers were advised that four individuals had entered the building and had left the premises in a white sedan. Upon their arrival, officers searched the building and area for the suspects with negative results

Security camera footage allegedly shows a white sedan pulling up to the rear of the business. Two suspects then attempt to force open the back door. When this does not work, one of the suspects uses an angle grinder to cut open a hole in the bay door. Two suspects then enter the building through that hole and then open the door to let the other two suspects in. The suspects then took tablets, a gaming system and a safe. The value of the proceeds has not yet been determined. It took the suspects approximately 7 minutes to accomplish this. It is not clear as to how much time elapsed from the time the owner observed this activity until the time that the police were actually contacted.
