Linden Man Arrested for Motor Vehicle Burglary

Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Michael Gobel (32) of Linden, N.J. for burglary of a motor vehicle, two counts of attempted burglary and theft on January 24, 2023. On that date, at approximately 1:18 PM, the Fairfield Police Department was alerted by a Fairfield Road resident of an individual who had just entered his unlocked 2004 Toyota and allegedly stole some change from inside of it. The victim provided police with a description of the actor. The victim then followed the suspect as he walked down Fairfield Road, updating the responding officers as to his location.

Officers then came upon the suspect, at which time, he was placed under arrest.
