Suspect Arrested for Theft of Tool from Local Business

Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Justin Henry (19) of Maplewood, N.J. for theft on July 12, 2021, for an incident that took place on July 2, 2021 at USA Wheels located at 1275 Bloomfield Avenue.

On that date, at approximately 1:44 PM, a black male operating a silver BMW, is allegedly seen on video surveillance, parking behind USA Wheels and proceeding to the bay doors of the company where he allegedly took an impact gun and battery valued at approximately $772.00. He then allegedly returned to his vehicle and left the scene. In reviewing the video footage, company officials from USA Wheels allegedly identified the suspect as Henry, a former employee of a neighboring company. Fairfield Detective Nicholas Cocchi continued the investigation and was able to obtain additional surveillance footage from the complex and determined that Henry probably still had ties to some of his former co-workers.

On July 12, 2021, Detective Lieutenant Michael Nyhuis and Detectives Nicholas Cocchi and Daniel Moran conducted surveillance at 1275 Bloomfield Avenue and located Henry inside of a silver 2009 BMW parked in the parking lot, away from USA Wheels and apparently waiting to pick up one of his former co-workers. He was then arrested, without incident, and transported to police headquarters where he was charged with the theft. He was released on his own recognizance pending a hearing in the Superior Court in Newark, N.J.

(It should be noted that the charge against Henry is merely an allegation and that he is presumed innocent until he either pleads guilty or is found guilty in a court of law)
