Well-Dressed West Caldwell Resident Charged with Shoplifting from Target

Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Cameron Remak-Pie (27) of West Caldwell, NJ for shoplifting on April 5, 2023.  On that date at approximately 6:09 pm, officers were called to the Target store on a report of a shoplifter in custody.  Target Asset Protection allegedly observed Remak-Pie enter the dressing room in different clothing than which he exited.  Remak-Pie then purchased several items at the self-check-out, not including the suit he was now wearing.  He was stopped by asset protection after completing his purchase and detained until officers arrived on scene.

Officer John Seragusa investigated and Remak-Pie was placed under arrest for shoplifting and transported to police headquarters for processing.  Remak-Pie was later released on his own recognizance pending a May 31, 2023 date at the Superior Court in Newark, NJ.

(It should be noted that the charges are merely allegations and that there is a presumption of innocence until they either plead guilty or are found guilty in a court of law)
