Clifton Woman Arrested on Drug Charges Following Motor Vehicle Stop

Fairfield (NJ) – The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Shannon Siedzik, (33), of Clifton, New Jersey, on drug related charges following a motor vehicle stop on March 30, 2026.

On that date at approximately 11:42 pm, Officer Ryan Cleary conducted a motor vehicle stop on a grey Honda Accord for motor vehicle violations he observed. While speaking with Siedzik, Officer Cleary noted that the explanation of her travel plans was inconsistent with the direction and route she was currently traveling. In addition, she allegedly appeared nervous after she was asked to exit the vehicle and speak further with Officer Cleary.

Corporal Jeffrey Dean and Officer Sean McCormack arrived on the scene to assist Officer Cleary with the initial investigation. Based on observations made during the stop, the Essex County Sheriff’s Department was requested to provide a K-9 unit for a narcotics sweep.

Upon arrival, the K-9 performed an open-air sniff and allegedly provided a positive alert for the presence of illegal substances within the grey Honda Accord. A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers yielded both narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Siedzik was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. She was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of CDS. Siedzik was later released pending an initial appearance at the Essex County Superior Court.
